Aircraft Interiors Expo Marks 25th Edition with Innovations

Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX), organized by RX, is set to celebrate its landmark 25th edition with its most ambitious showcase to date. Taking place from April 14–16, 2026, at Hamburg Messe, the event will also feature a special anniversary evening on April 13.
Since its launch in 2000, AIX has served as a global stage for key aircraft cabin innovations, from lie-flat seating and personal inflight entertainment to today’s focus on sustainability, advanced materials, seamless connectivity, and passenger wellbeing. The 2026 edition will reflect on this evolution while spotlighting the next generation of cabin technologies.
Around 500 companies are expected to exhibit, including 74 first-time participants. Dedicated zones will highlight key segments, with the BizJet Zone focusing on business aviation interiors and the IFEC Zone showcasing inflight entertainment and connectivity solutions. Long-standing exhibitors such as Panasonic Avionics and Schott will return alongside new innovators.
This year’s show floor will feature a wide range of product launches. ThinKom will unveil a compact multi-orbit antenna supporting GEO, MEO, and LEO networks, while SES will present new developments in device connectivity through a partnership with Google. In the cabin and galley space, exhibitors will introduce lightweight equipment, modular refrigeration systems, and sustainable material solutions.
The Passenger Experience Conference (PEC), held on April 13, will bring together speakers from more than 20 airlines, including United Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Saudia, and Fiji Airways. The programme will cover over 30 sessions across digital innovation, wellness, and sustainability themes.
Throughout the exhibition, CabinSpace Live will deliver more than 15 sessions featuring insights from industry leaders such as Airbus, Thales InFlyt Experience, and Airline Passenger Experience Association. Topics will include inflight connectivity advancements, data-driven personalization, cabin comfort, and the future of sustainable design.
The event will also host the 2026 Crystal Cabin Awards, recognizing innovation across eight categories, including a new Breakthrough Start-ups segment. The shortlist was selected by an international jury featuring representatives from British Airways, Collins Aerospace, Lufthansa Group, and Safran.
As AIX marks its 25th anniversary, the event underscores the rapid pace of innovation shaping aircraft interiors. By bringing together the full ecosystem—from airlines and manufacturers to technology providers—the expo continues to serve as a critical platform for defining the future of passenger experience and cabin design.
