A New Tech Feature for SkyMiles Members: Delta Sync Exclusives

Delta Airlines has unveiled Delta Sync Exclusives, a highly anticipated addition to its SkyMiles loyalty program, offering members a range of exciting perks. While not as dramatic as some recent loyalty program overhauls in the industry, Delta’s initiative aims to enhance the travel experience for its valued customers.

After the initial announcement in January, Delta has now rolled out the Delta Sync Exclusives promotion on its domestic mainline aircraft, with a target of equipping 540 Delta planes with this feature by the end of July.

Here’s how it works: SkyMiles members can log in with their SkyMiles number and enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi on the flight. Additionally, members gain access to exclusive bonus offers from prominent partners, including T-Mobile and American Express. Furthermore, passengers can take advantage of engaging entertainment options, such as a complimentary trial of Paramount+ to catch up on popular shows like “Yellowjackets.” For those who enjoy games, Delta offers The New York Times Games, featuring popular puzzles like Wordle, Sudoku, and Mini Crossword.

Delta Airlines is taking the customer experience one step further by introducing the My Trip tab. This feature allows flyers to use Resy, a popular restaurant reservation platform, to conveniently book dining experiences in their destination city. Furthermore, travelers can access curated videos and articles from Atlas Obscura, a trusted travel content provider, to discover exciting activities and attractions upon arrival.

Delta has ambitious plans to expand Delta Sync Exclusives, incorporating a personalized entertainment experience on seatback screens. This advancement will include features like resuming shows from where passengers left off, enhancing the overall viewing experience. By the end of this year, Delta aims to introduce this personalized entertainment offering to more than 700 domestic aircraft, and eventually to its entire global fleet by the end of 2024.
