AAA Announces Diamond Properties in Costa Rica

AAA has launched its Diamonds Program in Costa Rica by revealing hotels and restaurants that have received Diamond designations. The association’s inspectors recently visited the Central American country to rate properties for the first time.

Notably, this is AAA’s first country expansion in more than 30 years.

Five Diamond properties offer ultimate luxury and leading-edge cuisine. Four Diamond properties offer upscale amenities and distinctive fine dining. Three Diamond properties offer comprehensive amenities and trendy food. And Diamond Approved properties meet industry-leading standards of AAA inspections.

The designations reflect a commitment to quality and consistency in the hospitality industry. Inspectors are trained professionals who conduct unannounced, independent, in-person property reviews. Of particular focus are examinations of cleanliness, comfort, cuisine, and consistency.

In all, 34 hotels and restaurants in Costa Rica earned Diamonds: 11 hotels received Four Diamonds, 10 hotels received Three Diamonds, 11 restaurants received Three Diamonds and two restaurants are Diamond Approved.
