Action Aviation Leads Middle East with Galileo FDX

Action Aviation has become the first Middle Eastern operator to adopt Gogo’s Galileo FDX inflight connectivity system, confirming plans at the Dubai Airshow to equip its Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) 737 with the advanced terminal.

The company is the region’s first customer for Gogo’s larger fuselage-mounted, electronically steered antenna (ESA), and its BBJ passengers will be the first in the Middle East to access inflight connectivity powered by the Eutelsat OneWeb satellite network.

The Gogo Galileo FDX system features a full-duplex antenna with dual arrays—one dedicated to transmitting data and the other to receiving—delivering high-speed, low-latency broadband for cabin wi-fi. The solution is optimised for large-cabin aircraft and supports multiple passengers using multiple devices simultaneously for bandwidth-intensive applications.

Mark Butler, CEO of Action Aviation, said the decision followed extensive evaluation of connectivity options: “We wanted more than incremental improvement – we wanted a system that would redefine what global inflight connectivity can deliver. After extensive research and consultation, we selected Gogo Galileo FDX as the clear choice for achieving high-speed, reliable, and truly global broadband performance.”
