Aero, a luxury airline based in California, has announced the launch of scheduled flights between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, starting December 27, 2024. These new routes will feature Aero’s exclusive fleet of Embraer ERJ-135 aircraft, providing passengers with a unique opportunity to experience private jet luxury on commercial flights.

Beginning late December, travelers can board Aero’s stylish all-black jets from Van Nuys Airport (VNY) in Los Angeles and Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas. The flights will operate on Fridays and Sundays, allowing guests to easily travel between the two cities for weekend getaways.

The flight schedule is designed for convenience. On Fridays, the service departs Van Nuys at 14:30, arriving in Las Vegas at 15:35. The return flight leaves Las Vegas at 16:30, landing back in Van Nuys at 17:35. On Sundays, passengers can enjoy a morning departure from Van Nuys at 10:30, reaching Las Vegas by 11:35, with the return flight scheduled for 12:30, arriving back in Los Angeles at 13:35. To commemorate this new route, initial one-way fares are set at $777, symbolizing the number seven’s association with luck in Las Vegas.

Aero aims to redefine air travel by bridging the gap between traditional first-class experiences and the luxury of private jets. Passengers can expect top-notch inflight service, including high-quality catering from Erewhon, a well-known grocer in Los Angeles, alongside complimentary bar service. In addition to a premium onboard experience, travelers will benefit from free Starlink Wi-Fi and a generous luggage policy allowing two checked bags, including oversized sports equipment such as golf clubs. Aero is also dog-friendly, enabling passengers to bring their pets into the cabin.

Ben Klein, CEO of Aero, expressed excitement about the new service, stating, “Aero is bringing back the style of traveling to a destination synonymous with glamor. The experience of flying Aero is seamless and elegant, making it the ideal way to reach Las Vegas. Our new service is inspired by the Golden Age of Hollywood, when stars frequently jetted between Los Angeles and Las Vegas for weekend escapes. Jetting to Vegas on Aero means that the fun starts the moment guests arrive at our private airport terminal.”

In addition to regular flights, Aero will host a special ‘Jet In, Jet Out’ service for the Las Vegas F1 Grand Prix on November 23, 2024. Passengers will depart Van Nuys at 17:05, landing in Las Vegas at 18:10, perfectly timed for the race. The return flight is set to leave Las Vegas at 02:20 on November 24, arriving back in Van Nuys at 03:25, making it “the only flight back to Los Angeles directly following the race.”

Currently, Aero operates flights from Van Nuys to several destinations, including Napa, Sun Valley, Aspen, Palm Springs, and Los Cabos. With its fleet of four Embraer ERJ-135s, each seating just 16 passengers, and a single Embraer Legacy 600 accommodating 12 passengers, Aero continues to innovate in the luxury travel sector, offering a sophisticated and comfortable travel experience between California and Nevada.
