Aeronaves TSM continues expansion with CRJ200 freighters

Mexico-based Aeronaves TSM is continuing the expansion of its fleet with the addition of CRJ200 freighters.

The freighter operator has signed a deal with Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. to convert six CJR200s into a freighter configuration.

The modifications for all the aircraft are being performed by the authorised AEI Conversion Center, Commercial Jet, in Dothan, Alabama.

The first CRJ200 of this order has already commenced modification and will be completed in June 2023.

The remaining aircraft will follow with all CRJ200 SFs of this order completed by June 2024.

Last month, AEI announced an order for another B737-400SF freighter conversion.

“This aircraft along with the CRJ200 SFs will be used to support TSM expansion efforts,” a press release stated.

The AEI CRJ200 SF provides Aeronaves TSM with an Ancra cargo loading system capable of carrying eight containers/pallets.
