Aerospace Giants Unite to Boost Georgia Industry

Pratt & Whitney, Gulfstream, and Rolls-Royce are joining forces to strengthen Georgia’s role as a hub for aerospace innovation and manufacturing. The three companies have partnered to form the Georgia Aerospace & Defense Alliance (GADA), an organization dedicated to workforce development, industry collaboration, and statewide advocacy.
The alliance aims to build stronger connections between aerospace companies, educational institutions, and government leaders to ensure Georgia remains competitive in a rapidly evolving global industry. Ember Bishop Bentley, GADA’s executive director, emphasized the initiative’s long-term vision, stating, “Through GADA, we will bring together industry, education and government to ensure we remain competitive, innovative and forward-looking in every aspect of this critical sector.”
Georgia has long been home to a thriving aerospace and defense sector, with Savannah-based Gulfstream leading in business jet production and major employers such as Pratt & Whitney and Rolls-Royce operating key facilities in the state. The creation of GADA formalizes efforts to address industry needs, including advanced training programs to build a skilled workforce capable of supporting next-generation aviation technologies.
By fostering collaboration across companies and institutions, GADA also seeks to expand Georgia’s influence in both national and international aerospace markets. The alliance plans to focus on innovation, sustainability, and growth opportunities that can drive investment and create high-value jobs in the state.
With backing from industry leaders, the Georgia Aerospace & Defense Alliance positions the state as a strategic hub for aerospace excellence and long-term economic development.
