Air Canada Cargo adds capacity to booking portal WebCargo
Air Canada Cargo is expanding its e-booking presence by placing its capacity on online platform WebCargo.
The move will allow the airline’s freight forwarder customers to view real-time pricing and make bookings on its aircraft.
Air Canada capacity will begin to appear on the platform in the next few weeks, the carrier said.
“We are thrilled to be connecting to WebCargo’s booking platform as we continue down the path in our digital transformation and evolution. Digitalisation is key to the success of air cargo and we pride ourselves on staying ahead of the curve, and embracing technological solutions that will provide value to our customers and added efficiencies to our company,” said Matthieu Casey, managing director, commercial – cargo.
The move comes as the airline continues to ramp up its presence in the air cargo market – at the end of last year the carrier re-entered the freighter market through the conversion of B767 aircraft into a freighter configuration.
Air Canada has also invested in infrastructure and digitalisation in recent months.
This is not the first time the carrier has placed its capacity on a booking portal, in 2021 the airline announced a deal with cargo.one.
