Air Canada Cargo Unveils Updated Website for Better User Experience

Air Canada Cargo has launched a revamped website at aircanadacargo.com that is said to offer, “new tools that will improve the customer experience and an updated design to better reflect the Air Canada Cargo brand”.

The improvement is part of what the freight carrier describes as an ongoing transformation of Air Canada Cargo’s “digital experience and how we interact with our customers through ongoing investments, new customer-centric tools and increased digital connectivity”.

Matthieu Casey, managing director, commercial at the freight carrier, commented: “Air Canada Cargo has been undergoing a huge technological push in recent years and the new website is the latest major advancement in how we are constantly working to improve our offering to our valued customers.

“Featuring a more intuitive interface, improved functionalities and tools, the website now provides convenient and relevant tools for our customers, ensuring their experience is efficient and provides the value they have come to expect from us.”

Users can filter searches of Air Canada Cargo’s global schedule across the website with multiple metrics and output results in various formats.

This global schedule includes details of the carrier’s freighter aircraft services, the belly capacity of Air Canada’s passenger fleet and its trucking road feeder services (RFS).

In this way, “Our customers always have the most current information possible and tailored to their needs”, the carrier said.

The new website also now features an interactive map tool that incorporates all destinations served by Air Canada Cargo.

Amongst other benefits, this allows its customers to see where new stations are added as its network continues to grow, particularly as more freighters are brought online into its fleet.

Recently, for example, Air Canada Cargo took delivery of two newbuild Boeing 767-300 freighters.

The freighters are expected to enter service soon, Air Canada Cargo said earlier this month.

The new tools added to the website also include an online Air Canada Cargo account application feature, and customers can also now easily track their shipments.

According to an Air Canada Cargo statement, “This is [only] the initial phase of the website’s modernisation, with more updates to be rolled out over the course of the year.”

Air Canada Cargo has a presence in over 50 countries and operates self-handling hubs in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Chicago, London and Frankfurt.
