Air Canada has officially launched nonstop flights between Montréal–Trudeau International Airport and Naples-Capodichino Airport, introducing its fourth Italian destination to Canadian travelers. The inaugural flight marks the start of a seasonal service operating four times weekly aboard Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Spanning roughly eight hours each way, the route will run through October 25, 2025, offering tourists and business travelers direct access to Southern Italy’s cultural treasures and coastal beauty.

“This new service from our growing Transatlantic hub in Montréal will make it even easier for our customers to explore all that Naples and Southern Italy has to offer,” said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. He highlighted that the route connects two great cities and strengthens ties between Canada and Italy. Air Canada first entered the Italian market in 2005 and now serves Naples alongside Rome, Milan and Venice. This summer, the carrier will operate up to 39 weekly flights to these Italian cities, providing more than 13,000 weekly seats for passengers seeking European experiences.

Flight AC882 departs Montréal at 19:35 local time on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, arriving in Naples the following morning at 09:40. The return leg, AC883, leaves Naples at 11:35 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays and lands in Montréal at 14:45 local time. By aligning schedules for convenient connections through its hub, Air Canada enables seamless travel for those continuing on to destinations across Europe and beyond.

Italian Ambassador to Canada Alessandro Cattaneo applauded the new link, noting its potential to boost tourism and strengthen business relationships. “Naples is set to host the prestigious America’s Cup sailing competition in 2027,” he said, adding that Canadian visitors will now have direct flights to attend the event and explore the region’s historic sites, such as Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast.

The introduction of Montréal–Naples service expands Air Canada’s global network and reinforces Montréal as a key transatlantic hub. The airline’s Dreamliner fleet, known for fuel efficiency and passenger comfort, features modern amenities including in-flight entertainment, Wi-Fi and spacious cabins. Travelers can expect consistent service standards on the 787, whether flying for leisure or meetings.

With this new seasonal route, Air Canada meets growing demand for direct flights from Quebec to Italy’s southern provinces. Naples joins Rome’s Fiumicino, Milan’s Linate and Malpensa, and Venice’s Marco Polo and Treviso as part of the airline’s Italian portfolio. By offering varied schedules and competitive fares, Air Canada aims to attract tourists eager to sample Neapolitan cuisine, visit UNESCO heritage sites and enjoy the Mediterranean climate.

The Montréal–Naples connection also benefits Canadian businesses, as improved flight options facilitate trade and investment opportunities between North America and Europe. Cargo capacity on the Dreamliner further supports the movement of goods, from perishable foods to manufacturing components.

As the seasonal service takes off, travel advisors and passengers are encouraged to book early to secure preferred dates and fares. With the inaugural flights now complete, Air Canada stands ready to welcome travelers seeking authentic Italian experiences, whether strolling through historic Naples or venturing along the region’s iconic coastline.
