Air Canada Seeks Flight Attendants for Toronto and Vancouver Bases

Air Canada is currently hiring flight attendants for permanent positions to be based in either Toronto or Vancouver.

“Every trip our customers take is special, and that starts and ends with attracting the best people to our team,” the Canadian flag carrier said on its website.

Successful applicants will embark on an eight-week, full-time Air Canada Flight Attendant training program in Montreal or Vancouver.

How much are Air Canada flight attendants paid?
According to the job description, Air Canada flight attendants will be paid CAD 28.85/ hour ($21.27/ hour).

Although the airline did not specify the exact amount, it said that training will be paid at a lower rate.

What are the requirements to be an Air Canada flight attendant?
The following are just some of the requirements to be considered an Air Canada flight attendant:

At least 18 years of age
Hold a valid Canadian passport that allows travel to all destinations served by Air Canada
Available during irregular working hours (mornings, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays)
Willing to relocate to our Air Canada’s base in Toronto or Vancouver

Do you need to speak French to work as an Air Canada flight attendant?
Although it is not a requirement, Air Canada said that it prefers candidates who speak English and French fluently.

The airline is seeking flight attendants for international routes so they are also looking for those who can speak fluent Arabic, Japanese, Greek, and Thai.

Air Canada also stated that candidates must be eligible to work in Canada at the time any offer of employment is made, and seeking any required work permits/visas or other authorizations which may be required is the sole responsibility of the candidate.
