Air Canada to upgrade Toronto refrigeration facilities
Air Canada will invest $16 million to expand and upgrade its cold storage facilities at Toronto Pearson International Airport for perishable cargo like pharmaceuticals and fresh food. “Our new temperature-controlled facility, which will be the only one of its kind for a Canadian airline, represents a significant addition to Air Canada’s on-site capabilities at Toronto Pearson and to Canadian cold chain logistics,” as well as giving Air Canada “a strategic advantage at our main hub,” said Jason Berry, vice president for cargo.
