Air France has unveiled its new flagship First Class product, La Première, on the popular Paris Charles de Gaulle to New York JFK route. The first aircraft fitted with the redesigned suites, a Boeing 777-300ER registered as F-GZNQ and aptly named Épernay after the renowned champagne town in France, successfully completed its transatlantic journey on April 8, 2025. This launch marks a significant investment by the airline in elevating its premium offering, which was officially presented in March 2025.

The new La Première suites redefine luxury with an emphasis on spaciousness and privacy. Each suite is designed with exclusive access to up to five windows, creating an open and bright environment for passengers. The modular layout allows travelers to enjoy a fully adjustable ergonomic seat that seamlessly transforms into a chaise longue. This versatile seating configuration converts into a two-meter-long bed, ensuring that passengers have ample space for relaxation and sleep on long-haul flights. Floor-to-ceiling curtains further enhance privacy, while state-of-the-art amenities such as 32-inch 4K anti-glare screens provide an immersive in-flight entertainment experience. Additionally, the cabins are equipped with a range of power options including 10V/220V outlets, USB A and USB C sockets, as well as retractable storage space for hand luggage, combining convenience with luxury.

In addition to the upgraded cabin design, Air France is set to enhance the culinary experience for La Première passengers. Starting in July 2025, renowned Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud, based in New York City, will devise exclusive menus for both La Première and Business Class on Air France’s US routes. This collaboration underscores the airline’s commitment to offering world-class cuisine that complements the luxurious in-flight experience. The partnership with celebrated chefs and the introduction of premium dining options are expected to further elevate the appeal of Air France’s premium cabins.

For the launch phase, the new La Première product will be available on one of the seven daily nonstop flights between Paris and New York. This service departs from Charles de Gaulle at 10:30 am local time every day, with a slight schedule variation on Wednesdays when the departure is at 1:30 pm. The initial availability on this route will allow frequent transatlantic travelers to experience the new suite design before the product is rolled out on other long-haul routes.

Air France plans to progressively extend the La Première offering across its fleet of Boeing 777-300ER aircraft by fitting each with four newly designed suites. Looking ahead to the summer, passengers traveling to Los Angeles, Singapore, and Tokyo-Haneda will also be able to enjoy the benefits of the upgraded First Class product. The full rollout is expected to be completed by early 2026, at which point La Première will be available on all routes where Air France currently operates First Class service.

This comprehensive upgrade to Air France’s premium product is part of a broader strategy to enhance customer experience and strengthen the airline’s competitive position on key international routes. By investing in innovative cabin designs, top-tier in-flight amenities, and world-class dining, Air France is setting a new benchmark in luxury travel. The launch of La Première on the Paris-New York route represents a significant step in this evolution, promising an exceptional travel experience for discerning passengers seeking the very best in airline hospitality.
