Air France Expands Its Network with New European Destinations and U.S. Service Resumption in 2024
Air France is set to diversify and expand its network in 2024 by introducing flights to three smaller European markets and resuming its service to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). These new routes reflect the airline’s strategy to explore new markets and enhance connectivity.
Starting in April 2024, Air France will connect Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to Verona, Italy, with thrice-weekly flights using an Embraer 190 aircraft. This service will run through October 2024, providing a direct link to one of Italy’s charming cities.
From July 15 to August 31, 2024, the airline will introduce a weekly service from CDG to Narvik, Norway, on Saturdays. This route will be operated using an Airbus A319 aircraft. Additionally, Air France will launch a weekly service to Kalamata, Greece, also on Saturdays, from July 6 to August 1, using an A319 aircraft. These seasonal services to Narvik and Kalamata are part of the airline’s commitment to offering diverse travel options during the summer season.
Furthermore, starting May 13, 2024, Air France will resume its connection between CDG and MSP, deploying a Boeing 787-9 aircraft. This reinstated service to Minneapolis-St. Paul strengthens the airline’s presence in the U.S. market.
In addition to these new routes, Air France is also extending its recently launched CDG-Raleigh-Durham International Airport route to a year-round operation. The frequency of this service will be increased to daily flights during the summer 2024 season, up from the current three times weekly. This route is serviced by an A350-900 aircraft.
These network expansions by Air France are a strategic move to cater to various travel needs, from leisure to business. The addition of smaller European cities and the resumption of key transatlantic routes underline the airline’s commitment to providing comprehensive and convenient travel options for its passengers, thereby enhancing its global connectivity.
