Air France-KLM Add Delta Interline to NDC Channels

Air France-KLM has expanded the capabilities of its New Distribution Capability (NDC) platforms to support interline bookings with Delta Air Lines, marking another step in the airline group’s push to modernize airline distribution. The enhancement allows travel agents and corporate partners using NDC channels to seamlessly combine Air France or KLM long-haul flights with Delta-operated services across the Americas within a single booking.

With the update now live, agents can build itineraries that pair Air France-KLM transatlantic flights with Delta’s extensive network to destinations throughout North America, South America, and the Caribbean. Previously, such combinations were often restricted to traditional global distribution systems (GDS). By enabling interline functionality directly through NDC, the partners aim to simplify workflows, reduce booking friction, and provide more consistent content across modern distribution channels.

The move reflects growing industry momentum behind NDC as airlines seek greater control over their product offerings, pricing, and ancillary sales. For Air France-KLM, integrating Delta interline options into NDC strengthens the appeal of its direct-connect channels while preserving the network breadth that travel sellers expect from legacy alliances and partnerships. Delta is Air France-KLM’s long-standing transatlantic joint venture partner, making it a natural first step for expanded interline functionality via NDC.

For travel agencies, the enhancement means greater flexibility and transparency. Agents using NDC can now access combined itineraries, fare options, and conditions across both carriers without reverting to legacy booking systems. This is particularly relevant for corporate and complex itineraries, where connectivity beyond major US hubs is essential. The update also supports more consistent servicing, as bookings created through NDC remain within the same distribution environment.

Air France-KLM said the expansion is part of a broader roadmap to bring more interline and partner content into its NDC ecosystem. Additional airline partners are expected to be added over time, further narrowing the gap between traditional distribution and next-generation retailing. The group has been steadily investing in NDC to enable richer offers, dynamic pricing, and tailored products across both Air France and KLM.

Industry observers see the Delta interline integration as a meaningful signal that NDC is moving beyond standalone airline offers toward true network connectivity. As more carriers adopt similar approaches, NDC is increasingly positioned not just as a retailing upgrade, but as a viable foundation for multi-airline itineraries.

For Air France-KLM and Delta, the update reinforces their transatlantic partnership while aligning with a shared goal: delivering smoother booking experiences and stronger network connectivity in a distribution landscape that is rapidly evolving.
