Airbnb is preparing to relaunch its Experiences product, offering fresh details on its revamped platform. In a recent sponsored post with Arival, the short-term rental giant invited tour operators, guides, and experience providers to apply for listing on the platform. New features will include API integrations, co-hosting capabilities, team management, and streamlined listing creation. The company also confirmed that only fully guided experiences with a maximum group size of 15 will be accepted.

Airbnb is expected to reveal full details in May during its “Summer Release” event. CEO Brian Chesky has acknowledged past challenges, stating that Experiences were not well integrated into Airbnb’s platform and lacked strong social media presence and marketing. The company aims to change that with a more compelling and discoverable offering.

Hiring moves suggest serious investment in the relaunch. Airbnb recently appointed Walks founder Stephen Oddo as an advisor and posted global job listings for Experiences market managers. Industry experts speculate that Airbnb is shifting toward a traditional OTA model while ensuring high-quality experiences.

Chesky has hinted at expanding Airbnb beyond vacation stays, with Experiences leading the charge. The upcoming relaunch will determine whether Airbnb can transform Experiences into a major revenue driver. Until May, anticipation continues to build as the company refines its strategy.
