Airbus launches competition to design the livery for A350F freighter
Airbus has launched a competition to design the livery for its new A350F freighter aircraft.
The competition opened yesterday and closes on November 28, with the winner to be announced on March 15.
The first flight of the aircraft is expected in 2024, Airbus said.
“The A350F is a large freighter aircraft giving you over 1000 sq m of surface to play with,” Airbus said.
“Your creation should consider how this new generation, advanced, modern aircraft can benefit air freight operators and airlines from around the globe.
“Depending on your style, your design can be simple or detailed, hand-drawn, painted or created using any medium you choose.
“It can be completely abstract or realistic, submitted in one or many colours.”
Airbus will work with the winner to produce the final livery design.
“It will be seen for the first time in the air on its first flight planned for 2024 and will be used to showcase the aircraft to operators and airlines around the world.”
The winner will also receive a limited edition scale model of the aircraft at Le Bourget Paris Airshow where the winning design will be revealed and a private factory tour to see the winning design come to life as it embarks on its first flight.
