Airbus Helicopters has opened a new 21,000-square-foot distribution center in the Niagara region of Canada, aimed at enhancing its industrial operations and expanding spare parts capacity. Announced on May 15, 2025, the facility supports the company’s broader growth strategy in the Canadian aerospace sector and helps secure over 300 local jobs.

Located near its manufacturing and completions center in Fort Erie, the Niagara Distribution Centre will streamline Airbus’s inventory and logistics operations. The site is set to play a key role in supporting helicopter completions, component repair and overhaul, composite materials production, and spare parts delivery.

Airbus stated the new center will allow its Fort Erie operations to expand, enabling faster turnaround times and greater customization capabilities. The company is also working to deepen relationships with Canadian suppliers and distribution partners as it scales its North American presence.

“By deepening our roots here, we are not only proactively addressing the evolving demands of the helicopter market but also actively contributing to the economic strength and security of the region,” said Dwayne Charette, President of Airbus Helicopters in Canada.

The expansion comes amid rising demand for Airbus’s advanced twin-engine helicopters, particularly the H135 model. The H135 has been selected by both the Ontario Provincial Police and the Royal Canadian Air Force for use in the Future Aircrew Training program, driving increased need for customization space and support services.

Airbus’s investment in Niagara reflects its long-term commitment to Canada’s aerospace industry and positions the company to meet growing regional and international demand.
