Airbus Helicopters has announced a series of significant orders for its H125 and H145 models during the European Rotors trade show in Amsterdam, which concluded recently. On November 6, 2024, the company confirmed that Østnes Helicopters, the official distributor for Airbus in the Nordic countries, has placed an order for 10 H125 helicopters.

In addition, Airtelis has signed a framework agreement to purchase up to five H145 helicopters, including a firm order for one unit. This follows a notable order from Global Medical Response (GMR), a U.S.-based firm, which recently placed an order for 28 Airbus helicopters, consisting of six H125s, five H130s, 14 H135s, and three H145s.

The new aircraft from Østnes Helicopters will enhance its existing fleet of over 150 H125s, primarily utilized for utility and aerial work missions. Frode Østnes, CEO of Østnes Helicopters, stated, “Nordic customers require a truly versatile helicopter that can perform a wide range of missions. The H125 has proven its capabilities time and again. Our customers depend on these aircraft for essential missions, and we are committed to ensuring they benefit from short delivery times with this order.”

Airtelis plans to integrate the new H145 helicopters into its subsidiary, Oya Vendée Hélicoptères, which provides support for the offshore wind industry. Laurent Giolitti, Executive President of Airtelis, noted, “The H145 has proven to be the perfect helicopter for our offshore wind operations during the construction of the new Yeu Noirmoutier offshore energy platform off the coast of Nantes. We look forward to expanding our operations with the H145 to support the renewable energy market.”

These recent agreements reflect Airbus Helicopters’ commitment to meeting the diverse needs of its customers in various sectors, including renewable energy and utility services.
