AirLift Group has become a GSA for Uzbekistan-based My Freighter following delivery of the latter’s first Boeing B747-200F freighter last month.

Logistics firm My Freighter took delivery of its first Boeing B747-200F freighter in October and has plans to add five more as it looks to capitalise on Tashkent as an airfreight hub.

The aircraft with nose-door capability can transport up to 105 tons of cargo and is well positioned to serve special project cargo.

My Freighter said it will soon purchase five more B747 freighters as part of plans to expand its fleet to 20 aircraft within the next five years.

“Our partnership on widebody freighter capacity opens new era in development for both companies serving our joint client base,” said UK-based Airlift Group. “This also will benefit Tashkent as one of the major air cargo hubs in Central Asia connecting South East Asian and China markets with Europe and rest of the world.”

“We are proud to be working jointly with our partners at My Freighter and helping them to fulfill their ambition of becoming gateway of the air cargo in Central Asia, connecting the whole World,” said Dmitry Grishin, chief executive at AirLift Group.
