Airlines, airports scramble as passenger volume burgeons

With air passenger volume surpassing 2 million per day, airlines, airports and the Transportation Security Administration are bringing personnel on line to serve them. American Airlines is canceling about 1% of its scheduled flights in early July to “help ensure we can take good care of our customers and team members and minimize surprises at the airport.”
