Airlines look to fuel alternatives

Sustainable aviation fuel, which creates overall carbon reduction because its plant-based source material absorbs carbon as it grows, is the key to airlines’ emission reduction efforts. United CEO Scott Kirby emphasized that environmental goals will be reached “not with flashy, empty gestures, but by taking the harder, better path of actually reducing the emissions from flying.”
