Airlines shift schedules as busy summer looms

As pent-up demand for leisure travel manifests, airlines are beefing up service to Florida, national park destinations like Montana, and also on small-airport routes that would not have taken off prior to the pandemic. Meanwhile, airline employees are working longer hours and coping with a surge of unruly passengers and the Transportation Security Administration is hiring more staff and upgrading technology in preparation for a busy summer.
