Airlines, travel groups call for reopening plan

The US Travel Association, Airlines for America and other travel industry organizations are calling on the federal government to develop a “risk-based data-driven” plan to reopen international travel. “We have seen in recent weeks that immediately after a country opens access with proof of a vaccine, leisure demand returns to the level of 2019 quickly,” said Andrew Nocella of United Airlines.
