Airlines urge roadmap to reopen travel to Canada

Airlines for America and the National Airlines Council of Canada (NACA) urged the US and Canadian governments to “clearly spell out how and when we will restart air travel between Canada and the US, with the objective of releasing the plan prior to June 21.” “Safely reopening transborder air travel between Canada and the US is essential for both nation’s economic recovery from the pandemic,” A4A and NACA said in a letter to Canadian officials. “We know there is tremendous pent-up demand for service,” American Airlines President Robert Isom said.
