Alaska Airlines Debuts Direct Flights from Everett to Honolulu and Portland to Miami
Alaska Airlines has recently expanded its route network with the launch of two new nonstop services, catering to the increasing demand for leisure travel to sunny destinations. The airline has introduced a daily, year-round flight connecting Seattle/Everett with Honolulu, marking its first regularly scheduled service linking Paine Field in Snohomish County Airport to Hawaii. This new route is a significant addition, providing leisure and business travelers with more flight options and access to the greater Seattle area from a less congested airport located about 25 miles north of downtown Seattle.
Additionally, Alaska Airlines has initiated a coast-to-coast service between Portland and Miami, connecting two major cities that were previously the largest underserved destinations for each respective airport. This new route strengthens Alaska Airlines’ presence in Portland, where it has been the largest carrier for over 20 years, and now flies to 52 nonstop destinations from the city. The Portland-Miami service adds to the airline’s growing Florida network, making Miami the fourth Florida city served nonstop from Portland, alongside Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tampa.
These new routes are part of Alaska Airlines’ commitment to meeting the strong travel demand to leisure destinations, particularly to locations offering sun and fun as cooler weather approaches. With these additions, Alaska Airlines now operates flights from eight West Coast gateways to Hawaii and has enhanced its coast-to-coast connectivity in the United States
