Alaska Airlines Expands International Network with New Flights to the Bahamas, Mexico

Alaska Airlines is set to launch its first-ever flights to the Bahamas, offering seasonal service from Los Angeles and Seattle starting this December. These new routes provide travelers with exciting opportunities to escape the winter weather and bask in the sun-drenched beaches and crystal-clear waters of the Bahamas. Additionally, Alaska Airlines will be increasing its service to Mexico with flights from Las Vegas to popular destinations like Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta.

With convenient nonstop service to Nassau, the capital city of the Bahamas, Alaska Airlines aims to provide a seamless travel experience for its customers. The Los Angeles-Nassau flights will operate four times a week, while the Seattle-Nassau flights will operate three times a week. Passengers can expect the exceptional service and amenities that Alaska Airlines is known for, including free texting, in-flight entertainment, and power outlets at every seat. The Seattle-Nassau route will utilize the fuel-efficient Boeing 737-9 aircraft, showcasing the airline’s commitment to sustainability.

Alaska Airlines will become the second U.S. carrier to offer West Coast flights to the Bahamas, following JetBlue’s recent announcement. This expansion reflects Alaska Airlines’ dedication to expanding its network and providing customers with a range of travel options.

In addition to the Bahamas service, Alaska Airlines will enhance its connectivity to Mexico with flights from Las Vegas to Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta. These flights, operated by Horizon Air with Embraer E175 aircraft, will operate four times a week, making it convenient for travelers to explore the stunning beaches and rich cultural heritage of Mexico.

Travelers can now book their flights at alaskaair.com, with introductory fares starting at $139 one-way for Las Vegas-Mexico flights and $169 one-way for Los Angeles-Nassau flights. These special fares are available for travel between December 15 and February 28, 2024, and must be purchased by July 5.
