Alaska Airlines is adding three new routes for the winter holidays, connecting the West Coast with sunny destinations in Florida, California and Nevada. The flights will start in November and December and will be nonstop and year-round or seasonal.

The new routes are:

  • Portland, Oregon to Miami, Florida: Starting November 17, Alaska Airlines will offer daily flights between Portland International Airport (PDX) and Miami International Airport (MIA). This will be the airline’s 42nd destination from Portland and its fourth destination in Florida from the city. The flights will be year-round and operated with Boeing 737 aircraft.
  • Palm Springs, California to New York, New York: Starting December 14, Alaska Airlines will offer seasonal flights between Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) and New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The flights will be four times a week and operated with Airbus A320 aircraft. Alaska Airlines is the largest carrier in Palm Springs and also offers flights to Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and other cities.
  • San Luis Obispo, California to Las Vegas, Nevada: Starting December 14, Alaska Airlines will offer daily flights between San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport (SBP) and Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS). The flights will be year-round and operated with Embraer E175 aircraft. Alaska Airlines also serves San Luis Obispo from San Diego, Portland and Seattle.

“We believe our guests are going to love these new nonstops,” said Kirsten Amrine, vice president of revenue management and network planning for Alaska Airlines. “We continue to see strong demand by travelers who want to go to leisure destinations and are already planning trips for next year.”
