Alaska Airlines leisure travel nearly at pre-pandemic level

Alaska Airlines’ leisure travel bookings are nearly back to pre-pandemic levels, said CEO Ben Minicucci, estimating that business travel will reach 50% by the end of the year. “With the pace of vaccinations increasing, we saw a significant step-change in March,” Minicucci told NBC News. “People need that human interaction. I think companies feel like you still need that face-to-face,” he said regarding business travel. “I think it’s going to come back.”
