Alaska Airlines, machinists’ union make contract deal
Alaska Airlines has reached agreement on a two-year contract extension with the union representing 5,300 gate agents, office employees, cargo handlers and other airport personnel. Chief Operating Officer Constance von Muehlen said the agreement is “a meaningful investment in our Alaska Airlines airport customer service, stores, cargo, ground service and reservations agents” that offers “a significant, market competitive boost in pay across our team, increased longevity premiums for our most senior employees and extended job security protections.”
