Alaska Airlines has reopened its lounge in the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport’s D Concourse on June 21, after a renovation that added more space, comfort and amenities for its guests. The lounge is part of a $30 million improvement program for Alaska lounges that is upgrading facilities in Portland, Oregon; Seattle and San Francisco.

The renovated lounge in Seattle features 50% more seating capacity, with a variety of options such as recliners, bar stools and work tables. The lounge also showcases artwork by Coast Salish artist Louie Gong, who created a mural and a custom carpet inspired by the Pacific Northwest. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, power outlets, a full-service bar, a coffee station, a pancake printer and a variety of snacks and beverages.

Sangita Woerner, senior vice president of marketing and guest experience at Alaska Airlines, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome our guests back to our refreshed and expanded lounge in Seattle. Our lounges provide a comfortable and relaxing space for our guests to unwind or catch up on work before their flight. We’ve also added some unique touches that celebrate the local culture and spirit of the Pacific Northwest.”

Alaska Airlines operates four lounges in Seattle, located in the C, D and N concourses and the North Satellite. The airline also operates lounges in Anchorage, Los Angeles, New York JFK and Portland. The lounge in San Francisco is currently closed for renovation and is expected to reopen later this year.
