Alaska partner to advance production of clean jet fuel

Twelve, the chemical technology company that recently partnered with Alaska Airlines, plans to create its sustainable aviation fuel from carbon dioxide, and water and electricity rather than vegetable oil. Diana Birkett, senior vice president of public affairs and sustainability at Alaska, said, “sustainable aviation fuel offers the biggest opportunity,” for the airline to meet its ambitions net-zero emissions goal.
