Alaska Unveils Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer Livery

Alaska Airlines has introduced its most intricate aircraft design yet with a new Disney-themed Boeing 737-800 that launched from Portland International Airport on April 27, 2025. Dubbed the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer, the jet took off on its maiden revenue flight to Santa Ana, California, inviting guests to embrace adventure and dream big in collaboration with Disneyland Resort’s latest attraction.
The 17-year-old 737-800, registered N596AS, showcases a stunning exterior inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Princess and the Frog. Princess Tiana’s adventurous spirit anchors the design, celebrating the immersive Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride at Disneyland Park. The fuselage features a vibrant portrayal of Tiana alongside swirling bayou motifs, creating a sense of motion and excitement even before boarding.
Designers devoted over 2,000 hours to hand-painting the elaborate artwork. Louis the Alligator splashes amid water lilies, and a cascade of glowing fireflies travels from nose to tail. Winglets display additional characters, including Mama Odie and Prince Naveen, bringing the beloved fairy-tale world to life. The meticulous attention to detail ensures the aircraft stands out both on the ground and in flight.
Inside the cabin, Alaska will offer Tiana’s Bayou Adventure snack packs for purchase beginning in summer 2025. Serving guests bound for Southern California, the themed treats complement Alaska’s commitment to enhancing the travel experience with touches of Disneyland magic. Frequent flyers can now enjoy a taste of the bayou as they journey to Anaheim’s iconic parks.
“Every journey should be as magical as the destination, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer brings that wonder to the skies in a way that perfectly complements our commitment to creating remarkable journeys,” said Eric Edge, Vice President of Brand and Marketing at Alaska Airlines. He added that the aircraft embodies Princess Tiana’s love of exploration, inspiring guests to pursue new possibilities.
This marks Alaska Airlines’ ninth partnership with Disneyland Resort, and its first aircraft to feature a Disney Princess. For more than 25 years, Alaska and Disneyland have collaborated to spread joy among travellers. “As Disneyland Resort prepares to celebrate its 70th anniversary, this latest addition honors our legacy and looks ahead to a bright future with Princess Tiana leading the way,” said Sybil Crum, Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Strategy at Disneyland Resort.
The Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer will serve routes across Alaska Airlines’ network for the next several years, coinciding with Disneyland’s 70th celebrations from May 16, 2025, through summer 2026. It joins other beloved liveries, such as Mickey’s Toontown Express, Star Wars Transport to the Disneyland Resort, and Friendship and Beyond at Disneyland Resort, each themed to Disney Park lands and experiences. As the iconic Boeing 737 sails across the skies, it brings a new chapter of Disney enchantment to every flight.
