Alaska’s pilot program partners with Md. College

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore is one of two historically Black institutions that are offering scholarships as part of Alaska Airlines’ new True North program. The program aims to reduce financial barriers for individuals who have been unrepresented within the aviation industry by providing funds for flight training and a career pipeline to airline positions in order to grow a new generation of diverse pilots.
