All-inclusive resorts seen by chains as safe bet

All-inclusive resorts are attracting major hotel companies as they anticipate a continuation of the pandemic-induced tendency of travelers to find a destination and then stay put. In August, Hyatt Hotels agreed to acquire Apple Leisure Group, all-inclusive-resort manager, for $2.7 billion, while this week Wyndham Hotels & Resorts said it is collaborating with Playa Hotels & Resorts and Marriott International said it has added 20 new all-inclusive resorts to its Autograph Collection.
