Allegiant Air announces seven new routes
Nevada-based budget airline Allegiant Air has announced that its adding seven new nonstop routes to its network from November. Three of the destinations are in Florida and two in California, one in Arizona and one to Utah, the airline is hoping to capitalise on winter tourism at the start of the US holiday season.
The LCC is not the only carrier to presume Florida will become a significant domestic destination as low-haul travel remains uncertain for the winter season. Low-cost rival JetBlue has also included Florida within its expansion plans, with Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota, Fort Myers, West Palm Beach and Fort Launderdale all getting new connections from across the country.
