Amadeus Buys SkyLink to Boost AI Corporate Travel

Amadeus has acquired SkyLink, an AI-powered corporate travel booking startup, for an undisclosed sum as it accelerates its push into conversational and agentic travel technology.
The deal will enable Amadeus to expand its artificial intelligence capabilities, integrating SkyLink’s conversational booking technology into its existing corporate travel tools. The move strengthens Amadeus’ position in the business travel segment, particularly in North America.
Founded in 2021, U.S.-based SkyLink operates within enterprise collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Slack. The solution allows employees and travel arrangers to book policy-compliant trips using natural language text or voice commands. By embedding directly into company chat systems, SkyLink aims to streamline corporate travel booking while reducing friction and costs.
Amadeus said it plans to scale the AI-driven conversational platform across its broader ecosystem, including airlines, airports, hotels and travel sellers.
“Combining our AI-native technology with Amadeus’ scale and industry reach will allow us to deploy our technology faster and bring powerful new capabilities that benefit travelers and companies across the travel industry,” said Atyab Bhatti, co-founder and CEO of SkyLink. “It’s a pivotal time to deliver concrete AI solutions and, now with Amadeus, we can accelerate the next phase of travel innovation.”
Luis Maroto, president and CEO of Amadeus, said the acquisition reinforces the company’s strategy of embedding AI across its global travel infrastructure. He described Amadeus as a neutral execution layer for travel, built on global scale, integrated business logic and its longstanding role as a trusted system of record.
The transaction comes amid intensifying competition among global distribution and travel technology providers. In January, Sabre invested in BizTrip AI, another AI-powered assistant for business travelers. Sabre has publicly positioned itself as an AI-native company, emphasizing the value of its data, content and transactional infrastructure in powering next-generation travel solutions.
Amadeus has been active on the M&A front over the past two years. In 2024, it acquired biometrics specialist Vision-Box and payments technology company Voxel. It also purchased travel intelligence firm ForwardKeys last year.
With corporate travel increasingly shifting toward conversational interfaces and AI-enabled automation, the acquisition of SkyLink signals Amadeus’ intent to play a central role in shaping the next phase of enterprise travel booking.
