Austria’s Amelia Executive has obtained an Austrian air operator’s certificate (AOC) and operating licence (OL) from Austro Control, effective July 28. The approval follows the addition of a 19.6-year-old Learjet 45, registered as OE-GRD (msn 45-287), to its fleet. Accountable manager Thomas Dannoville confirmed the development to ch-aviation.

The Learjet, based in St. Denis de la Réunion, is deployed for medical evacuation flights and executive charter services. It was previously registered in France as F-HACP and operated under the Slovenian AOC of Amelia International. The acquisition aligns with Amelia Executive’s strategy to expand its premium and specialized aviation services within Europe and beyond.

Amelia Executive began commercial operations on June 8 as a virtual carrier, utilizing a 60-seat, VIP-configured Airbus A319-100, registered as F-HDRA (msn 2279), operated under Amelia International’s Slovenian AOC. This aircraft caters to high-end charter clients, offering enhanced comfort and privacy for group travel.

According to Dannoville, the company plans to transfer the VIP-configured A319 to Amelia Executive’s Austrian AOC in the autumn, further consolidating its fleet under one regulatory framework. This move is expected to streamline operations, improve flexibility, and strengthen the airline’s position in the competitive European charter market.

With its new AOC and expanded fleet capabilities, Amelia Executive aims to tap into growing demand for tailored air travel solutions, including corporate, government, and leisure charters, as well as urgent medical flights. The company’s latest certification marks a significant step in its operational growth and service diversification strategy.
