Amelia, operating under the callsign 8R from Paris Le Bourget, has announced the launch of its new subsidiary, Amelia Executive. Based in Vienna, Austria, this strategic move aims to cater to the growing demand for premium charter services in the European market. The announcement was made during the prestigious Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) Show held at Dubai World Central, where Amelia Executive revealed details of its inaugural aircraft: an Airbus A319-100 configured for executive travel.

Alain Regourd, CEO of Regourd Aviation and the Amelia Group, emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and expansion. “We are always seeking opportunities to innovate and grow; Amelia Executive is a new venture that allows our group to offer a specific service to both current and new customers,” Regourd stated. He further highlighted that the subsidiary will focus on providing direct long-range flights, serving both major and secondary airports with the highest standards of service. This approach is designed to meet the evolving expectations of both new and returning customers seeking premium travel experiences.

Earlier this year, Charles Mahé, Amelia’s Development Director, shared insights into the company’s strategic direction during an exclusive interview with ch-aviation. Mahé revealed plans to concentrate on premium markets by converting aircraft F-HDRA (msn 2279), an Airbus A319-100, into a 60-passenger VIP aircraft with an extended range. This conversion underscores Amelia’s dedication to offering high-end charter services tailored to the specific needs of discerning travelers.

The converted A319-100 has been stationed in Ljubljana since September 30 under the Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) of Slovenia’s Amelia International. The aircraft is poised for induction into service, with bookings for 2025 already underway. This timely addition to the fleet demonstrates Amelia Executive’s readiness to meet the anticipated demand for luxury charter flights in the coming years.

Amelia’s current fleet comprises 18 aircraft operating under both French and Slovenian AOCs, ranging from the Embraer E135 to the Airbus A320-200. This diverse fleet allows Amelia to offer a wide range of services, from regional flights to long-haul charters. The company has also recently secured a United States foreign air carrier permit, expanding its operational reach and enhancing its ability to serve a global clientele.

Specializing in Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance (ACMI) and charter operations, Amelia has built a robust portfolio of clients, including notable airlines such as Air Algérie and Bangkok Airways. These partnerships highlight Amelia’s expertise in providing reliable and flexible aviation solutions tailored to the unique requirements of each client.

The establishment of Amelia Executive in Vienna marks a significant milestone in the company’s growth trajectory. By positioning its premium charter services in Austria’s capital, Amelia aims to tap into the lucrative Central European market, offering unparalleled service quality and flight flexibility. Vienna’s strategic location and well-connected airport infrastructure make it an ideal hub for Amelia Executive’s operations, facilitating seamless travel across Europe and beyond.

Amelia Executive’s launch aligns with the broader trends in the aviation industry, where there is a rising demand for personalized and high-quality travel experiences. By leveraging its extensive fleet and industry expertise, Amelia is well-positioned to meet this demand, providing customers with exceptional charter services that prioritize comfort, efficiency, and reliability.

Amelia’s introduction of Amelia Executive signifies the company’s strategic expansion into the premium charter market. With its new base in Vienna and the addition of a specially configured Airbus A319-100, Amelia Executive is set to offer top-tier charter services that cater to the sophisticated needs of today’s travelers. This initiative not only enhances Amelia’s service offerings but also solidifies its reputation as a leading provider of flexible and high-quality aviation solutions in the competitive landscape of business aviation.
