American Airlines and JetBlue begun the process of unwinding the NEA

American Airlines and JetBlue have initiated the process of unwinding their Northeast Alliance (NEA) after a court ruled the alliance violated fair competition laws. Effective July 21, 2023, codeshare flights will no longer be available on their respective itineraries. Passengers with existing bookings must add loyalty program numbers to earn points and reciprocal perks. Despite the disappointment expressed by JetBlue’s vice president, both airlines are dedicated to minimizing disruptions and delivering excellent service.
