Marking the 44th anniversary of the world’s first frequent flyer program launched by a mainline carrier, the promotion invites parents of babies delivered on May 1 to share their newborn’s arrival details on X (formerly Twitter). To enter, parents must post a photograph of their infant, include the exact time of birth and time zone, tag @AmericanAir, and use the hashtags #AAdvantage, #FrequentFlyerDay and #promotion. No ticket purchase is required to participate.

Once the winning post is verified, the newborn will receive 100,000 AAdvantage miles credited to a newly created member account. American Airlines encourages parents and legal guardians to enroll their child in AAdvantage via the airline’s website so that the baby can begin earning miles on family travel immediately. The generous award promises to kick-start the infant’s ability to redeem miles for future flights, upgrades or partner rewards long before their first trip.
