American Airlines Cargo will place its capacity on booking portal WebCargo
American Airlines Cargo will place its capacity on online booking portal WebCargo as it continues to invest in digital capabilities.
Bookings on American Airlines Cargo will be available via WebCargo’s platform across parts of Europe and North America in the first half of 2022 before expanding to other parts of the globe later in the year.
WebCargo said the move would provide its more than 10,000 freight forwarder users with access to American Airlines’ cargo services.
Jessica Tyler, president of American Airlines Cargo, said: “Over the last two years, e-commerce volume has surged and demand for global freight has increased. American Airlines Cargo has continued to adapt and innovate in order to deliver excellent customer service, and the digital solutions provided by WebCargo create another important step forward in ensuring continued connectivity and visibility for customers.”
Manel Galindo, chief executive of WebCargo, added: “We look forward to expanding eBooking adoption across North America, a market which has been especially stretched due to supply chain issues and is ready for faster, more reliable digital solutions.” American Airlines Cargo & aircargonews.net
