American CEO expects return of business, international trips
Doug Parker, CEO of American Airlines, predicted an uptick in demand for both international and business travel over the coming months in an interview with CNBC. Parker explained the carrier is seeing “Europeans chomping at the bit to come to the United States” as the US approaches the implementation of new international travel policies on Nov. 8. “I suspect by next summer, we will see full flights to Europe again and as close to as many flights we were flying before,” Parker added. “There is enormous demand, pent-up demand.”
