American Cruise Lines is launching a nationwide “Celebrating 250 Years of America” campaign to commemorate the United States’ semiquincentennial across all 2026 sailings.

The initiative will bring themed onboard programming, patriotic displays and enhanced guest experiences to the company’s fleet throughout the year. To mark the milestone, American Cruise Lines has introduced a commemorative 250th anniversary logo and badge that will appear on the bow of every ship. On embarkation days, vessels will also feature large American flags draped along their sides in tribute to the anniversary.

Crew uniforms will incorporate the 250th badge, and the branding will extend across the company’s website and 2026 marketing materials. Guests sailing in 2026 will receive collectible semiquincentennial keepsakes, including commemorative pins and themed gifts. The cruise line also plans to showcase patriotic video features and host special ceremonies honoring U.S. veterans.

Onboard programming will reflect the anniversary theme with interactive activities and celebrations. Guests can expect a 250th-inspired game show, daily U.S. history trivia announcements and red, white and blue cocktail receptions. The cruise line has also developed a signature cocktail menu featuring themed drinks such as “The Spirit of 1776,” along with patriotic desserts and culinary presentations.

Shore excursions will further connect guests to the anniversary celebration. American Cruise Lines includes guided excursions at every port, and many destinations along its itineraries will host special 250th events in 2026. Cities such as New York, Boston, Baltimore and Norfolk are planning Sail 250 maritime celebrations, while museums and historic landmarks nationwide are preparing exhibits and programs marking the nation’s 250-year history.

During the Fourth of July holiday, guests sailing with American Cruise Lines will have opportunities to experience fireworks displays and local patriotic festivities. Travelers on the 52-day Great United States Cruise, for example, are scheduled to witness the fireworks over Boston Harbor as part of their cross-country voyage.

By integrating commemorative branding, themed onboard experiences and destination-based events, American Cruise Lines is positioning its 2026 sailings as a unique way for travelers to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary on rivers and coastal waterways across the country.
