American manager’s hard work led to operations career

Christine James-Villanueva left her native Jamaica to follow the example of a cousin who was a pilot, but the path she found in the aviation industry was in operations, and she is now managing director of operations support and dispatch for American Airlines. James-Villanueva has not forgotten the hardships she endured early in her career and works to create pathways for others within American and in the community.
