Angola’s burgeoning business aviation sector has a new player, Air Two, which has recently launched commercial charter and air ambulance services. This development follows the successful acquisition of its air operator’s certificate (AOC) in 2023, signifying a pivotal step for the start-up based in Luanda.

A spokesperson from Air Two confirmed to ch-aviation the company’s operational launch and detailed their ongoing recruitment efforts aimed at bolstering their pilot roster to support the expanding services. The entry of Air Two into the market is marked by its diverse fleet, strategically equipped to cater to varying client needs.

The fleet comprises:

  • A Cessna Aircraft Company Citation 550 Bravo, D2-GES (msn 550-1135), which can accommodate seven passengers. This 18-year-old twinjet, previously operated by the now-defunct Air Gemini, marks a continuation of its aviation legacy in Angola.
  • An eight-passenger Hawker 125 700A, D2-EAI (msn 257201), specially equipped for medevac operations, enhancing the healthcare accessibility through timely medical transport services.
  • A Beech (twin turboprop) King Air 350, also configured to carry eight passengers, which complements the fleet with its versatility and reliability.

Air Two’s launch not only increases the options available within Angola’s aviation market but also strengthens the infrastructure for emergency medical services in the region. With a focus on both charter and specialized air ambulance operations, Air Two is poised to make significant contributions to Angolan air travel and critical care transport.
