Arajet Begins Miami–Santo Domingo Service
Arajet, the Dominican Republic’s low‑cost carrier, officially entered the United States market on April 14, 2025, with its inaugural service linking Santo Domingo’s Las Américas International Airport (SDQ) and Miami International Airport (MIA). The four‑times‑weekly flights, operated with the airline’s Boeing 737‑8 MAX fleet, mark Arajet’s first U.S. route following the December 2024 Open Skies agreement between Washington and Santo Domingo, which removed restrictions on frequencies and new carriers.
