Archer Named Official Air Taxi for LA28 Olympics

In a high-profile announcement on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Archer Aviation CEO Adam Goldstein revealed the company’s new role as the Official Air Taxi Provider for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) developer plans to deploy its Midnight aircraft to transport VIPs, fans, and event stakeholders during the global sporting event in Los Angeles.
The partnership also includes a collaboration with Team USA and aims to revolutionize urban mobility in LA during the Games, which are expected to attract more than 15 million visitors and reach billions of global viewers. Archer will build a network of vertiports at key Olympic venues, including Inglewood Stadium, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and other high-traffic locations such as Los Angeles International Airport, Hollywood, Orange County, and Santa Monica.
Goldstein described the collaboration as a transformative opportunity. “We want to transform the way people get around Los Angeles and leave a legacy that shapes the future of transportation in America,” he said. “I can’t wait to see Midnight flying passengers over Los Angeles, emblazoned with the Team USA logo and the Olympic Rings and Paralympic Agitos.”
The Midnight eVTOL aircraft is designed to carry four passengers and a pilot and will offer 10–20 minute flights across LA during the Games. Archer’s vision aligns with LA28’s broader mission to bring innovation and technology into the Olympic experience.
“At LA28, we’re building a platform for constant innovation and creativity,” said LA28 Chairperson Casey Wasserman. “This partnership represents an incredible opportunity to deliver something unprecedented, showcasing the very best of what Los Angeles has to offer on the world stage.”
Archer’s operational readiness is reinforced by its FAA certifications. In February 2025, the company earned its Part 141 certificate for pilot training, following its Part 135 Air Carrier & Operator Certificate in June 2024 and Part 145 certification earlier that year. These milestones position Archer to safely and efficiently operate air taxi services at scale during the high-demand Olympic period.
With this partnership, Archer Aviation is set to deliver a bold and futuristic transportation experience that could redefine how global events approach urban mobility, placing Los Angeles—and the future of flying cars—firmly in the international spotlight.
