Belgium-based Air Service Liege N.V., operating as ASL AirTaxi (BNJ, Liège), has applied for a foreign carrier permit from the US Department of Transportation (DOT). The permit would allow the business aviation carrier to operate on-demand charter flights between the European Union and the United States.

ASL AirTaxi specializes in business jet services and plans to use aircraft with seating capacities of 60 or fewer passengers or a maximum payload of 18,000 pounds (8.1 tonnes). The airline currently holds a Part 375 Special Authorization, which limits operators to up to 12 flights to the United States within a 12-month period.

ASL AirTaxi’s diverse fleet includes two Beech B200s, one Citation Jet 1+, two Citation Jet 2+, six Citation Mustangs, four Citation Sovereigns, three Citation XLS, two Citation XLS+, one Learjet 40, one Learjet 45, one Learjet 45XR, one Legacy 450, and two Legacy 500s. These aircraft are registered across Belgium and the Netherlands, underscoring the company’s European operational base.

By securing the foreign carrier permit, ASL AirTaxi aims to expand its transatlantic service offerings, catering to business travelers seeking flexible and efficient charter solutions between the EU and the US.

The application highlights ASL AirTaxi’s commitment to growing its footprint in the global charter market and enhancing connectivity for its clientele.
