ATD Flight Systems has expanded its Part 135-certified fleet with the addition of a Citation XLS+, according to ch-aviation research. This move marks another milestone for the Kansas City-based operator as it continues to grow its private charter services.

The newly added Citation XLS+, registered as N715MN (msn 560-6048), is a 15.4-year-old jet with a storied history. Originally operating in the United States, the aircraft was exported to Türkiye, where it served for 13 years before being reimported to the U.S. in mid-2022 for private use. The jet’s modern amenities and performance capabilities make it a valuable addition to ATD Flight Systems’ fleet.

This is the second jet ATD Flight Systems has added to its charter lineup this year. In April, the company inducted a sister Citation XLS, also 15.4 years old, to replace a 20.4-year-old Citation Bravo that had been retired. Both additions signal the company’s commitment to upgrading its fleet with newer and more advanced aircraft.

Beyond its growing charter fleet, ATD Flight Systems operates a flight school at Kansas City Downtown Airport. The school manages a fleet of Piper and Cessna light aircraft, offering comprehensive pilot training programs. This dual focus on flight training and private charters positions the company as a versatile player in the aviation sector.

The addition of the Citation XLS+ reflects ATD Flight Systems’ strategic approach to fleet enhancement, ensuring it meets the evolving demands of private aviation clients while maintaining its reputation for quality service.
